Richmondville Man Takes Plea Deal On Child Pornography Charges

A Richmondville, NY man pled guilty after being indicted for receiving, possessing and distributing child pornography according to the Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of New York. Federal prosecutors say Angel Gomez downloaded images and videos then made them available for others to download. Investigators found Gomez had over 13,000 still images and over 2,400 videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Gomez could get as much as 180 years in jail plus a maximum fine of $2.25 million and will be sentenced coming up on August 5.
