Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered state police to increase patrols at schools statewide following threats made at two Western New York schools after the Florida high school mass shooting last Wednesday. The schools were in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties and arrests were made in both incidents. Cuomo said there are serious legal consequences for any person posing a threat whether or not they intend to actually execute upon that threat. A student should know there is nothing humorous about these situations and the consequences are most severe.
