According a published report in the New York Daily News,

"Local media outlets report that the former Beatle accompanied his wife, Nancy Shevell, during her visit to the Syracuse area Wednesday for a business meeting at New England Motor Freight’s operations in suburban DeWitt.

Shevell is the vice president of administration for the company owned by her father, Myron Shevell."

The reports say McCartney and Nancy Shevell flew into Syracuse on a private jet and spent several hours in the area, including having lunch with company employees."

About five years ago, my wife and I saw Sir Paul McCartney live in concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. What a show...three hours, no opening act, no intermission, and three encores!

And, a friend of mine told me that in 2001, Paul McCartney strolled into a New York City pub one afternoon while on tour in the Big Apple.  My friend said that Paul gave autographs, talked with everyone, and was just a very pleasant regular guy.

Who knows, maybe Sir Paul will be strolling down another local "Long And Winding Road" in the future.
