Sidney, NY Police Officer Arrested on Felony Charges

On March 18, 2020 at approximately 10:17 p.m., New York State Police arrested Brandon S. Parry, age 27 of Sherburne, NY for the felony of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the first degree and the misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Parry is employed as a police officer with the Village of Sidney Police Department.

Parry is accused of sending indecent messages and pictures to a minor. Parry was located at his residence and transported to State Police in Sidney where he was subsequently arrested.

Parry was arraigned in the village of Sidney court where he was released on his own recognizance. His next court date was scheduled for May 4, 2020. An order of protection was issued to the victim by the judge. The investigation is continuing.
