It's National Handwriting Day today.  It makes me wonder if cursive handwriting is dying a slow death?  In our age of technology and everything changing so fast, it seems inevitable. I actually stopped writing it several years ago and recently started it up again out of concern that this beautiful way of writing would become a thing of the past.  I find it's almost like creating art when I write.  Not that my handwriting is so wonderful mind you, it just feels that way when I'm doing it.

I know that cursive handwriting has now been dropped from the curriculum of many schools around the country.  Will we see this disappear?  Do you think in 30 years children will have any idea what cursive writing is?  For that matter, in 30 years, they may not even know what a pencil or writing is, with the break neck speed at which technology is moving!
