Seward to Read to Sidney First Graders Tomorrow

State Senator James Seward will be in Delaware County tomorrow at Sidney Central School.

Senator Seward will take part in New York Agricultural Literacy Week and will read to first graders at Sidney Elementary from the book, Who Grew My Soup? by Tom Darbyshire. The agricultural themed book stresses the importance of local farmers and their role in providing nutritious food.

The event is coordinated by New York Agriculture in the Classroom, a partnership of Cornell University, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, the New York State Education Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the New York Farm Bureau.
