Many people have reported significant delays in the delivery of unemployment checks.

Now a press release states that "State Senator James Seward joined with several colleagues in calling for an audit into the state Department of Labor’s handling of unemployment benefit applications in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Seward says many people have been waiting weeks, even months, for essential unemployment benefits to feed their families and maintain some semblance of a normal life. He added that the audit’s findings need to be made public to insure the issues are addressed."
