Otsego County Conservation Association is teaming up with Community Bank, N.A. of Cooperstown on a combination recycling/fundraising effort. OCCA is installing collection bins at both Community Bank locations in Cooperstown where people can drop off used inkjet cartridges and small electronics. These items will then be sent to Planet Green Recycle as OCCA earns money for each item they ship raising nearly $1,000.00 to date through Planet Green. E-waste that can be deposited in the Community Bank bins include but are not limited to inkjet cartridges, cell phones, GPS units, radar detectors, calculators, e-readers and tablets, iPods, iPads, and MP3 players. They can be in good working order or damaged. Toner cartridges are not accepted as part of this collection.
