Onondaga County Legislature Shuns Casino Issue

A casino in Onondaga County is an issue its legislature says it doesn't want to touch.

A resolution supporting the development of a casino in the overall Fingerlakes Region was removed from the agenda of the Onondaga County legislature yesterday.

A Rochester-based commercial real estate developer called Wilmorite has plans to build a $35 million casino complex in the Town of Tyre should it be awarded a license. It's one of many proposals including three in the Binghamton area and Catskills.
