Oneonta Water Treatment Plant Chief Receives Award

The Chief Operator of the City of Oneonta’s Water Treatment Plant has been recognized by the New York Section American Water Works Association.

Stanley Shaffer, a 37 year employee of City of Oneonta will receive the association’s 2017 Operators Meritorious Service Award at the organization’s Annual Conference on April 26 in Saratoga Springs.

In a statement Mayor Gary Herzig states the residents of Oneonta can take healthy water for granted every day as a direct result of Stan Shaffer’s work.
