It's been a long haul for everyone through the coronavirus pandemic, especially businesses that have had to wait the longest to be able to open, like movie theaters. New York State guidelines have made it difficult for movie theaters to reopen due to capacity limitations.

As of April 19, Governor Cuomo announced that starting today (April 26) movie theaters can increase capacity to 33%. After that news came out, of course residents in the Greater Oneonta area wanted to know "When will the Oneonta Southside Mall Cinemas reopen?" Finally, we have the news we've been waiting from them:

The Southside Cinemas will be reopening on Friday, April 30th. We will be open for weekend shows during this time....
