At the Oneonta Common Council meeting Tuesday night the council approved a permit fee for an apartment plan on Blodgett Drive.

"The developer will provide $20,000 in funds for the planning commission to retain outside engineering counsel to help evaluate the project," Oneonta Mayor Dick Miller said. "The agreement also includes a permit fee if the project goes forward."

Mayor Miller said the council also said new parking signs and hours were approved and are going to be put in place.

"We are in the process of changing most of our street signs that allow different side parking between 4 a.m.-4 p.m.," he said. "That will change to 6 a.m.-6 p.m. to make it more convenient for people who work. People need to watch signs in their areas if they have been living under these assumptions. It may suddenly change."

Also the proposed change to the code for Main Street area grade level entrances for apartments was discussed and was approved by the council.
