Scott Bonderoff, president of O’Connor Hospital in Delhi and vice president of ancillary support at Bassett Medical Center, is among several community members newly appointed to the board of Oneonta Community Health Center (OCHC).

Bonderoff has been employed at Bassett Healthcare Network for more than 18 years. He obtained an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Binghamton University and earned a BS in Psychology from SUNY Oneonta. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Teri Bell, patient access manager at Bassett Medical Center, has also been named a new member of OCHC’s board. Bell, who has worked at Bassett for 11 years, is an executive board member of the National Association of Healthcare Access Management and a Certified Healthcare Access Manager. She studied accounting and liberal arts at Broome Community College and will serve the OCHC board as treasurer.

“The Friends of the Oneonta Community Health Center are delighted to welcome Scott Bonderoff and Teri Bell to our board,” says Dale Capristo, co-chair, Friends of OCHC. “Their commitment, expertise, and leadership in many areas of health care will be extremely valuable to our mission of supporting OCHC and access to primary care in the greater Oneonta area.”

OCHC, opened in 2008, provides free primary health care to low income, uninsured adults and those challenged with health care and insurance costs. OCHC also helps eligible patients enroll in county, state, or federal health insurance programs and attain needed medications and advanced care. Friends of OCHC is the governing board of the 501 (C) (3) organization.

“I am incredibly pleased to join the OCHC board,” says Bonderoff. “Their mission is vital to the health of our surrounding communities and parallels Bassett Healthcare Network’s pursuit of providing access to high-quality, comprehensive services to the folks in our region. I am excited to work with a terrific group of people and share perspectives to improve the lives of citizens in central New York.”
