NYSEG announced today that it is delaying its planned rate increases from last month until this October. The delay was included in a three-year rate settlement between NYSEG’s parent company and state regulators. It also includes up to $30 million for COVID-19 relief for most vulnerable residential and small commercial business customers plus increase infrastructure investment and the hiring of additional line workers along with new metering and billing technology.
