NYS Worker Overtime Pay Highest in a Decade
A report from state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s finds that in 2018 New York employees were paid a total of $787 million. That’s the highest amount of overtime pay in the last 10 years. The report finds part of the reason for that is a 12 percent reduction in the number of workers. Two-thirds of the overtime was allocated to the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, and Office of Mental Health.
