NYS Waivers Marriage License Fee For Active Military

New York is now waiving marriage license fees for active duty military. The new law also gives local governments freedom to waive the fees they charge for marriage certificates for active duty service members or spouses. In a statement Governor Andrew Cuomo said these brave men and women leave their loved ones behind and risk their lives to protect the freedoms and values that this nation and this state were founded upon. Waiving this fee is one small way to thank them for their service.
