The New York State Police K-9 unit will be at the Village Library of Cooperstown this evening – not to catch criminals, but to meet with the public and show how they help protect the community. The event is part of the library’s Family Summer Evening Program and the K-9 team will demonstrate the care and training of their police dogs and how the animals help fight crime and assist in other duties. The event begins on the library lawn at 6:30 p.m.
