A new state law requires publicly accessible bathrooms statewide to have diaper changing stations. The law was included in the recently passed state budget and applies to men’s and women’s bathrooms either newly constructed or renovated. This policy applies to businesses, including restaurants, stores and movie theaters, as well as State facilities, like parks and DMV offices. Building owners or managers must post clear signs directing the public to the location of the nearest available changing table.
