Norwich Student Charged With Assault After School Fight

A Norwich High School student was taken to the hospital last week after a fight with another student.

The fight occurred in a hallway of the school during which the victim struck his head on the hard floor and suffered a head injury. He was taken to CMH in Norwich before being transferred UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.

One person has been charged with assault 3rd degree, a misdemeanor. The students' names and the extent of injuries to the victim are not being released because they are juveniles.
