Man Faces Charges for Stealing Car Then Scrapping It

A Harpersfield man faces felony charges in connection with a car that he had stolen. Police say Christopher Knipper misrepresented his ownership of the stolen vehicle when he took it to an unidentified scrap yard. Knipper was arrested Tuesday and appeared on Town of Davenport court on charges of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Falsifying Business Records which are both class E felonies. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 secured bond.
