Oneonta’s Municipal Airport is the recipient of a $225,000 federal grant to pay for new snow removal equipment. The funding was announced by U.S. Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program. Funds are drawn from the Airport and Airway Trust Fund, which is supported by user fees, fuel taxes, and other similar revenue sources.
