Man Charged In Fatal Snowmobile Accident

A Liberty man is dead and another charged with vehicular manslaughter after a snowmobile accident in the Catskills.

James Cole, 32, was riding on a snowmobile operated by Alan Hendrickson, 27, of White Sulphur Springs when they crashed into a telephone pole on a village street. According to reports, alcohol was involved and neither man was wearing a helmet.

Hendrickson was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
