Thousands turned out this weekend for the 56th annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta in Bainbridge. Attendees were treated to carnival rides, live music and all kinds of food but the big draw is the 70-mile-long flat water canoe race which is said to be the largest one-day race in North America. The winners were Steve Lajoie and Andy Triebold completing the race in about seven-and-a-half hours. Teams from the Girl Scouts were among those taking part in the youth races.
