Governor Andrew Cuomo is formally nominated by the Democratic Party to run for a third term. The vote was overwhelming with 95 percent of delegates voting for Cuomo. Former state senator and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke at the convention saying she has never been prouder to be a New Yorker or a Democrat than she is today. Earlier this week Republicans nominated Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro as their gubernatorial candidate.
