The Town of Hartwick and the Village of Walton have been awarded state grants to pay for water infrastructure improvements. According to Governor Cuomo's Office, Hartwick received just over $1.56 million for its upgrades which have a total cost of $2.6 million. Walton gets $1.2 million for its Storage, Source, and Distribution Improvement project which has a $ 2 million price tag. The money comes from New York State's Water Infrastructure Improvement Act and the Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure Grant Program.
