Free School Supplies and Backpacks for Sidney Students

Can you even believe that it is time again for securing all the school supplies and items for the kids' school year coming up?  This time of the year can be particularly stressful for parents.  Many schools provide lists of the needed items, and that means a long trip to the store for some of our rural families.  So, here is an offer for those living in the Sidney Central School District that is too good to pass up.

The Catholic Charities of Otsego, Delaware and Schoharie Counties will be providing school supplies as well as back packs for school children whose families meet the financial requirements of the charity organization.  The back packs will be filled with essential school items required by the school district.

You must pre-register for this program by August 13, 2021 at the Catholic Charities Office at 21 Liberty Street, Sidney, New York.  That is located right next door to the Motor Vehicle Office.  A photo ID is required.  At the time of per-registration you will be given specific instructions as to where and when you and your children may pick up their free back packs and school supplies.
