Cooperstown Firefighter Recognized for His Endless Passion & Dedication
If you're looking for a role model in your fire department, this is your guy.
Meet Matt Burch
Matt has proudly served as a member of the Cooperstown Fire Department for the past six years, becoming a member in 2017. Since then, he's become an interior firefighter and EMT-B for the station.
Burch was recently given the title of 1st Lieutenant for the Emergency Squad, now serving his second term in the role. He has also been working as a 911 Dispatcher for the last 4-years.
According to his peers, Matt is one of the most dedicated people you will ever meet. He's gone on over 600 EMS calls in his time and has had one successful CPR save.
Ever since he was little he would go out of his way to help someone. Matt is highly dedicated and truly serves with a passion.
Thank you Matt for being not only a role model in your department, but a hero to your community. Your hard work is inspiring and trust us, it never goes unnoticed.
