Driver Falls Asleep; Crash Closes I-88 Lanes Wednesday

In a department press release, the New York State Police reported that a truck driver, identified as Andrew A. Lloyd, age 26 of Porter Cors, NY, told troopers he fell asleep when he began to go off I-88 on Wednesday morning.. The truck rollover caused his load of milk products to spill closing all westbound lanes for several hours.  Lloyd was not transported by ambulance to any hospital and signed off at the scene with Otego EMS but was taken to Ellis Hospital in Schenectady by his employer.

All lanes of I-88 were re-opened by noon.
