On Monday July 17th, 2018 at about 8:20am, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 27 year old Shane Tweedie of Hamden, on charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree a class D Felony, Menacing 2nd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and 2 counts of Harassment 2nd degree. Deputies say this arrest was the result of an investigation into a report that Tweedie threatened to stab two persons with a knife. After making the threats, Tweedie is alleged to have left his residence on foot, which led to a manhunt for Tweedie in the area of his home. Tweedie was arranged at the Town of Delhi Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail. Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police, and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Ozzie.
