Covidien Healthcare Employee Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Hydrocodone Tablets
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies, acting on a complaint from security officers at Covidien Healthcare in Hobart, recently arrested and charged Wayne Morse III, 26, a former Covidien employee, for the theft and possession of hydrocodone tablets from that manufacturer.
Morse III, of Hobart, was arrested and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Petit Larceny and 5th degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
Morse III was issued an appearance tickets ordering him to appear in the town of Stamford Court on June 11 to answer the charges.
Sheriffs deputies say the arrest is the result of increased security and employee monitoring being conducted by Covidien Healthcare.
Covidien Healthcare security staff, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration say they will continue to work together to identify and prosecute those responsible for the diversion of pharmaceutical controlled substances.
