Couple Sought in New Year’s Eve Truck Theft in Norwich
New York State Police are looking for a man and a woman in connection with the theft of a truck while the owner had stepped into a store on New Year’s Eve.
Authorities say the elderly owner went into the Walmart in Norwich shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 and when he came out the vehicle that had been parked near the Garden Center of the store was gone.
Troopers found the truck, which had apparently run out of gas after someone saw it parked near Hoben Road and North Tyner Road in McDonough on Sunday, January 2.
The woman has auburn/ red, fairly straight shoulder-length hair and is white. She was wearing a black coat with what appeared to be a white logo on the left chest area and a blue pattern on the sleeve. The man is white. He was wearing a camouflage baseball hat, sunglasses and a blue zip up jacket with a large white logo on the left chest area. He had a dark beard and mustache.
