College campuses both private and public were not spared from the wrath of the latest Complex Magazine list of 50 Ugliest College Campuses in America.

Of the 50 colleges named in the list, 12 were from New York State, including five SUNY schools. Four of the top-five ugliest schools on the list were from New York State. But New York avoided the top spot.

New York had the most schools on the list of any state, while Massachusetts came in a close second.
