Commerce Chenango Celebrates Local Businesses
Commerce Chenango held their annual business celebration gala at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich on Thursday evening. A large crowd gathers for a dinner and tribute to several bushiness honored by Commerce Chenango for their community spirit and contributions to the area economy .
Commerce Chenango CEO Kerri Green was the master of ceremonies and introduced this year's honorees:
Culture Creator Award: New York Central Mutual was honored for "investing in their employees' overall health and well being, providing and supporting professional development opportunities and promoting from within their organization."
Emerging Business Award: Madron Tasting Room was honored for their tireless efforts to expand, update and beautify their business. They were especially complimented on their "enthusiasm and exciting creativity."
Business Achievement Award: The New York State Veterans Home in Oxford was selected because of their continuous growth, ability to adapt to an ever-changing world, and to keeping our veterans and their families safe during these difficult times.
Entrepreneur of the Year: Missy Beers is the owner of several start-up businesses in Norwich including Teasers Hair Salon and the popular Deja Brew cafe. She is also a building owner and entrepreneur. She was thanked for providing the Norwich area a new selection of attractive and exciting new businesses.
