Chenango County Man Sentenced for Child Porn
A Chenango County man is headed to prison for a decade for possessing thousands of images of pornography found during a visit with his probation officer.
Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old Matthew Bormann pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was sentenced March 3 to 120 months in prison.
Bormann admitted he had at least 3,500 images and video files of child pornography on a cell phone he was prohibited from possessing under conditions of his supervised release when is Probation Officer visited his Sherburne Home last March 12.
In addition to the ten years in prison for possessing child pornography, Bormann was also sentenced March 3
to a ten-month consecutive term of imprisonment for violating the conditions of his supervised released, failing to truthfully answer questions from his probation officer and failing to complete mental health and sex offender treatment.
