The body found Tuesday evening in Pharsalia has been positively identified by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner as Jennifer Ramsaran, the 36-year-old New Berlin mother who had been missing since Dec. 11, 2012.

The Medical Examiner used dental and medical records provided by Ramsaran's husband Ganesh to identify the body.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr. confirmed the results to the media Thursday afternoon. The cause of death has not yet been determined and is still under investigation.

Ramsaran had told her husband that she was going to Destiny USA in Syracuse on Dec. 11. When she did not return that evening, her husband reported her missing.

The following day, Ganesh says he used GPS tracking to find her phone on State Route 23 in the Town of Plymouth, 7.9 miles from where her body was found off Center Road in Pharsalia Tuesday.

Her car was found Dec. 16 by her father at Plank Road Manor in Norwich.

After those discoveries, publicly released updates mostly stopped until Jennifer Ramsaran's body was found Tuesday.
