Two school bus employees are okay after they escaped their burning vehicle in the Town of Cortlandville.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say at 2:38 p.m. June 2, they responded with the Town of Cortlandville Fire Department to a report of a vehicle fire on McLean Road.

Officials say they discovered the vehicle was a school bus owned by Birnie Bus Service.

The two company employees on the bus were able to get out, but the fire shut down McLean Road for a short period of time.
