Actor David Cassidy, best remembered for his role in The Partridge Family, was arrested and charged with felony DWI in the Rensselaer County town of Schodack early Wednesday morning.

Cassidy, 63, was stopped by police at a DWI checkpoint shortly after midnight. He was arrested and formally charged with felony DWI and failure to dim headlights. The arresting officer was Tom Jones.

Cassidy was taken to Rensselaer County Jail and posted $2,500 bail. He was issued a court date for next month.
