Oneonta YMCA Receives Chamber Award

With over 300 people attending, including New York State Assemblyman Cliff Crouch, Assemblyman Pete Lopez, Assemblyman Bill Magee and NY State Senator Jim Seward, On March 3rd, the Otsego County Chamber awarded the Oneonta Family YMCA with the “Quality of Life Award”.  Oneonta Family YMCA Executive Director Frank Russo accepted the award on behalf of the YMCA.  In addition to that award, The YMCA also received a NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit from Assemblyman Crouch, a NYS Assembly Citation from Assemblyman Lopez, and a NYS Legislative Resolution from Senator Seward and Assemblyman Magee.

The Oneonta YMCA has been in operation, serving the Otsego & Delaware communities since the 1800’s and is located on Ford Avenue in Oneonta.  The mission of the Oneonta YMCA is to “Build Strong Kids, Strong Families and a Strong Community.”
