12/30/21

As I was working away in my studio yesterday at 11:00 am, unbeknownst to me or probably anyone other than those directly involved, a robbery was taking place only feet away at the NBT Bank on the corner of Wall St. and Chestnut St. in Oneonta, NY.

No one would have known anything was going on since there were no police sirens blaring away, indicating that something big was happening. It wasn't until after 12:00 pm that I discovered a man had walked into that NBT Bank branch, approached a bank teller, and demanded cash.

The bank teller cooperated and handed over an unknown amount of cash and then that man waltzed right out of the bank via the front door.

According to the City of Oneonta Police Department, the man is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and around 220 to 250 lbs. (described as having a heavy build) and was wearing "a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants. After he exited the bank, he headed east on Wall St.
