In the middle of an intense week at the Norwich High School, the school district has removed high school principal Lisa Schuchman from her job.

The move was part of an effort to make a change in the high school leadership in the wake of increased concerns over bullying. A student was hospitalized last week after a fight in the high school hallway.

Schuchman will remain with the district, taking on other responsibilities. The action came after a large crowd gathered at the Tuesday night Board of Education meeting. A special board meeting will be held Nov. 27 to discuss bullying and the high school principal position.
