New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's administration is again backing away from saying when a decision will be made on a matter that could profoundly impact the economy of the Southern Tier and Central New York.

Months ago, the administration had promised a decision on whether or not to allow hydraulic fracture drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale was only weeks away.  Now, the administration says there is no timetable for making a decision on fracking.

State officials recently met with the U.S. Environmental Protection agency and say they were provided new information that could factor into the state's health review.
