He was called America's first "teen idol."  Because of the popularity of The Ozzie and Harriet Show, Ricky Nelson was able to promote each new song to a wide television audience each week.

He started with hits in the 1950s and made a dramatic come back thirty years later in the 1980s with his #1 song "Garden Party."
