Thousands of gun-rights advocates converged on the state capital Saturday to make it clear that not all New Yorkers support the state's new gun law enacted last week.

The protests come despite a Siena Research Institute poll finding that 75 percent of New Yorkers support an assault weapons ban.

Saturday's protest was organized by "Guns Across America" and took place in conjunction with similar rallies across the country touting citizen's rights under the 2nd amendment.
