O’Connor Hospital to Run Full-Scale Test of Incident Command System

Patients, families and visitors of O’Connor Hospital may notice unusual activity as the hospital tests its mass casualty plans and procedures on Saturday.

The purpose of this exercise is designed to test the hospital’s incident command system as well as the medical surge capability above the normal emergency department census.

SUNY Delhi Sends Culinary Student to National Student Competition

DELHI, NY-- SUNY Delhi culinary arts major Alexis Chamoff of Flushing, NY, will compete for the 2013 American Culinary Arts Federation national "Student Chef of the Year" title.

The competition will take place at the ACF National Convention in Las Vegas, July 21-25.

(UPDATE) SUNY Delhi Bomb Threat Ruled a Hoax

Police have ruled the bomb threat at SUNY Delhi to be a hoax Tuesday.

At approximately 9:15 a.m. SUNY Delhi University Police and Delaware County 911 received calls indicating that a bomb had been placed in the Evenden Tower on the SUNY Delhi campus and was set to explode in 45 minutes.

Second Body Found Inside Burned Walton Residence

State Police along with Walton Police are continuing to investigate a suspicious fire in Walton that led to the discovery of two bodies.

State Police responded to a suspicious fire in Walton on Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found Walton Police Chief Brian Laauser and senior investigator Karl Vagts. The two officers said they had heard two shots being fired inside the residence and responded to find a deceased female on the 2nd floor.

Over 200 Attend Citizen Voices Meeting to Speak Out Against the NY SAFE Act

Over 200 hundred people attended the Tuesday evening Citizen Voices meeting at the Elks Club in Oneonta.

They were there to voice their concerns with the NY SAFE Act gun law. There were numerous speakers including Tom King, president of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, Assemblymen Cliff Crouch and state senator James Seward.
