For the past ten years or more, the members of Tumbleweed Highway have been part of the Americana scene in Upstate New York, gathering stories from the road and life in a way only a storyteller could.

Rising from the ashes of bands such as Time Heron Corp, Panhandle, and Fetish Lane, Tumbleweed Highway blends together the sounds and influences of all their previous families and infuses in new sounds pulling from the depths of their creativity.

With a strong acoustic root to the band, their sound is unmistakably derived from the likes of John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett and Gram Parsons. At times you hear the resonance Southern Blues but with raw energy hailing from George Jones and Waylon Jennings.

Check out their videos below and be sure to come watch them perform as part of Townsquare Media's Battle of the Bands on May 31 at the Oneonta Theatre. One of the four performing bands will win a chance to play at the Taste of Country Music Festival June 13-15 at Hunter Mountain!

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Budweiser Happy Hour. Bands take the stage at 7 p.m., and we'll be giving out tickets to the Taste of Country Music Festival all night!
