There is a risk of severe and dangerous weather hitting our area over the next 48 hours.  Here is a statement fro the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York and
northeast Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...Tonight (Wednesday into Thursday).

A warm front will bring showers and a chance of thunderstorms to
develop after midnight tonight. Isolated gusty winds and hail will
be possible late tonight west of Interstate 81.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is an enhanced risk severe thunderstorms Thursday. Strong to
severe thunderstorms are expected to develop, especially Thursday
afternoon into early evening with a cold frontal passage. Damaging
winds and large hail are anticipated with the strongest storms, and a
even few tornadoes will be possible in the region.

The weather pattern remains busy late Friday into Saturday, with
additional severe weather possible as well as locally heavy rainfall.
