Walton Elementary Students Learn About Safe Bus Riding

Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten students at Townsend Elementary in Walton had a chance to learn about school bus safety through a visit from the district’s transportation department. The time with the classes teaches safety, and the importance of knowing where danger zones are around the school bus. They are also told what to expect from drivers and how they will be signaled to walk safely once exiting the bus. Classes then took a short ride on the bus.
