Village of Sidney Comes Together to Donate Supplies to NYC Hurricane Relief
The Village of Sidney is putting those extra supplies purchased in preparation for Hurricane Sandy to good use.
Car loads of excess emergency supplies were unloaded at a home in Sidney on Tuesday. Those emergency supplies will be sent as relief to others in New York affected by Sandy.
Oneonta resident Sue Darling initially posted a request for supplies on Facebook to help those hard hit in the NYC area.
The response was overwhelming and a friend in Sidney offered her garage for a drop off site.
