New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office released an audit into the Village of Bainbridge after it was found a former trustee had also been a supplier to the village. The audit report says the village made 19 purchases from the former trustee’s business between June 2017 and January 2019 totaling nearly $4,200 DiNapoli’s office recommended the Village make sure officials and employees are familiar with conflict of interest provisions in New York’s General Municipal Law.
