It looks like the towns of Verona and Vernon will end up in State Supreme Court in order to challenge Governor Cuomo's agreement with the Oneida Indian Nation. The case came about from an agreement between the governor and Oneida leaders which settled a land claim and gave the Oneida Nation exclusive rights to gaming in the area. The towns claim the agreement was to buy silence from the tribe, which had previously opposed Cuomo's constitutional amendment to allow for commercial casinos in the state.
